A Major Award!
I got some really exciting news last night. Project June Bug won second
place in the Women's Fiction category of the Royal Palm Literary Award competition given by the Florida Writers Association!!
The awards were announced at the annual FWA conference. Unfortunately, I couldn't be there to accept the award in person
since I'm still up in New Jersey on baby duty, so they're sending it to me up here. I can hardly believe it! There
were a record number of entries this year, so the competition was pretty fierce. I was thrilled when I heard that Project
June Bug was a finalist, but I never expected to actually place in the competition. This is a major milestone for the
book, and I couldn't be prouder. There's going to be a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving - all these beautiful
grandchildren, and a Royal Palm Literary Award! Wow!
